  • As per the Credit Information Companies (Regulation) Act 2005, no correction, deletion or addition to any information in the database can be made by CIBIL without confirmation from the concerned bank/financial institution.
  • As per the RBI Guidelines, the onus of providing accurate details will lie with the complainant and the banks/financial institution and or CIBIL will not be held responsible for any incorrect information provided by the complainant
  • Any dispute is to be resolved within 30 days from date of receipt by CIBIL or banks/financial institutions as per RBI. Compensation pertains to delays in dispute resolution and is not applicable to any other services provided by CIBIL.
  • Dispute Resolution is a FREE service offered by CIBIL. Consumers are not required to pay a fee for rectifying discrepancies or updating their credit information.
